United by destiny and separated by numbers,

I began to share a vision with Georgina Avila,

and the knowledge that everything exposed to light casts a shadow, even time.

This photography documentary and story is a tribute to love,

desire, passion, nostalgia, pain, hope, surprise, light, shadow,

a time that could never be revived,

and to never forget.

The setting for “En La Sombra Del Tiempo” is Mexico.

A land bathing in as much beauty, contrasts, emotions

and contradictions as photographs could ever immortalize.

 

they are us we are them

Inspired by a beautiful love story,

I traveled trough the forgotten and occult,

Mexico city the mountains of Oaxaca, Juchitan, Xilitla,

in order to find and photograph "La Sombra Del Tiempo" (The Shadow Of Time).

Although Mexico is going through very difficult times,

its people's kindness, infinite desire to smile, to work,

to preserve their culture, as well as human values is their best weapon against

economic crisis and coruption.

 

NUNCA EL OLVIDO - NEVER FORGET

The following images, emails, time, distance and light,

were the inspiration behind the discovery of La Sombra Del Tiempo,

The Shadow Of Time.

EN LA SOMBRA DEL TIEMPO

Two photographers, one Spanish, the other Mexican, meet in Mexico.

Two visions, united by destiny, the same passion for light, shadows, love and life.

Two points of view separated from one another by the shadow of time,

a lifetime, and two different cultures, however united by history.

One expressing the love and nostalgia for her country,

the other one expressing through the eyes of time,

the discovery through love, of a foreign culture and land.

 

I love it! Lets wtite the book, the most beautiful story in the world!

The story that no one has ever lived or ever imagined...

The shadow, the light, time, love, nostalgia, pasion, pain, hope, desire, the wait, the surprise,

but never forget!

Thank you baby for being at my side and for turning my life into the most wonderful story.
